There are many places you can get kettlebells from.
You can Purchase them from Momentum Kettlebells at a very reasonable cost click here
Or you can source your own however you have to be very careful. Some are better than others.
Things to look out for when buying a kettlebell:
- Cheaper is not always better. Bad castings and cheap imports are a common problems with kettlebells. They can crack easily and I have even seen handles fall off!
- Ensure the correct distance between the bell and the handle, otherwise it can effect the position the bell sits on your forearm and you can start to get wrist injuries.
- Avoid plastic kettlebells like the plague. They do not last and feel awful.
- Cheap bells can be poorly made meaning the handle is rough potentially damaging the skin on your hand.
- Careful with rubber bases. Ensure the rubber base is removable. This is important when it comes to doing exercises that rely on the bell stability on the floor.
These are just some of the basics to look out for.
