Dear Tom,
I would just like to say thank-you very much for your contribution to the PTI refresher courses we have just completed. I appreciate you giving up your time to help.
I was very impressed with your kettlebell sessions and the professional manner in which you delivered them. Your knowledge and experience in the other aspects covered on the course provided a different perspective from my own and added to the candidates learning.
Thanks once again.
Best wishes

Cracking class again. I love the feeling of being de-stressed, that you get with physical exertion. Although it is bloody hard at the time, afterwards I feel calm and relaxed

I feel I need to apologise to Tom publicly! I’m currently on holiday in Turkey and find myself cursing Momentum KB every morning at 7am…. When I’m doing Tom inspired stair sprints, suspension trainer workouts, bodyweight sessions and 5 min clean and press sets with a random rock!!!!!
I would also like to say a BIG thank you for giving me the ‘tools’ to get my first proper set of holiday abs.
One more thing ticked off my bucket list, now for the November KB competition.
Cheers Tom

1 to 1 KB training with Tom today, three words to sum it up Educational, Hard and Fun Thanks Tom

I need to let everyone out there know about Momentum Physical Training and how impressive the results can be if you work on the diet plan and combine it with the awesome kettlebell classes. In January I weighed in at around 88kilos with a waste that was not something to be overly proud of. In the first month I lost 4kilos and 10cm from my waist and it has only got better since then. I am now 81kilos and feel the best and fittest I have been since I left the RMR (Royal Marine Reserve).
The best thing about the training and nutrition plan is that it is a lifestyle change and not a fad diet. So if you want to get ready for the summer and look great on the beach check out Momentum Physical Training and contact Tom Mayes who is a great motivator and gives fantastic advice. Even if he is a little sadistic at times!

Massive thanks have to go to Tom Mayes for the awesome Momentum diet. I've now lost 7kg in 7 weeks and I am never hungry! Just good food and exercise.

Went along to the introduction to kettle bells today, what an eye opener, thank you very much, really enjoyed it.

Just wanted to say thank you to both you and Tanya for a great intro to kettlebells course on Saturday. I have wanted to give kettlebells a go for a while especially after Rob joined your class and lost all his weight! I can see why, it really works every bit of your body I know this because I don't think there was one bit of me that didn't ache the next day! It was great to be in a group where everyone was at the same level, it was a fun atmosphere and the 2 hours were over in a flash. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and fast way to lose weight & get fit. Thanks again.

I found the ‘Introduction to kettlebells’ course absolutely brilliant , it is a real eye opener to what you can achieve !
As always Tom , your courses are very welcoming and everyone feels at ease . There are no egos and we are all on the same par.
Steven Glover
I really enjoyed the ‘Introduction to Kettlebells’ course with Momentum Kettlebells. The session was at a pace which was easy to follow with each move being broken down to its main components. Tom clearly knows a lot about KB's and has a passion for them which lead to creating a light hearted and informal class.

In 2010 I had a bad snowboarding accident suffering a broken back
amongst other smaller injuries. I spent 3 months on a bed in my mums living room, encased in a plastic corset and unable to stand for longer than 10 minutes at a time. When the corset was eventually
removed I found my core muscles had completely wasted away making basic movements exhausting not to mention very painful.
2 years later I changed my career path from a manual job to office based work. After just a week being sat at a desk my back (already weak) was in agony. I noticed people talking on Facebook about
kettlebells and how good it was for all over body conditioning so thought I'd give it a go. I arranged to have a few 1 to 1's with Tom to see if it would be sensible following my injury. I found Tom
to be very knowledgeable and understood the weakness/pain I was suffering and catered the lessons accordingly. I began tentatively using a single 16kg Kettlebell and now less than a year later I have
moved up to double 24kg's and feel strong as an Ox and am pain free :)
I honestly cannot rate Tom and his personally proven Kettlebell classes highly enough. Everything he has learnt over the years he passes on including dietary advice as well as correct exercise
technique. During the 1month Lard Buster competition I lost 4.1kg in weight and 15% of my body fat. Perhaps more importantly than this I improved my Momentum 300 time from 17:12secs to 11:48secs
which feels amazing!!
If you are suffering constant back ache or think you are in too much pain to do anything about it, I can assure you from personal experience, pain killers are NOT the answer. Come along to a Momentum
Kettlebell Class, endure a few months of sweat and tears and you WILL feel the difference!

I started the Momentum Diet (MD) in January. I generally binge over Christmas and always diet during January. I received the MD pack from Tom and have to say it was very easy to follow and was detailed enough in how to do it. After all the calculations (that Tom completes) I started the new way of eating. I have to say that it felt easy. On low eating days I was on occasion slightly hungry but on high (training) days it was like a normal day.
What was really nice was that Carbs are an essential part of the diet unlike most i have tried. I was easily able to maintain the eating plan throughout the month with only 2 cheat meals. To spur the motivation along Tom set up a private forum of MD members so that we could all encourage each other. Without this i probably would have slipped some bad foods but with a quick look at peoples progress i was able to push cream cakes and donuts away.
Part of the plan was also to attend Momentum Kettlebell classes. I work a crazy shift pattern and was only able to attend one per week but still trainined every other day at home. The great thing about Kettlebell training is that it is a short sharp intense workout. The complexes that Tom supplies takes a maximum of 30 minutes.
I was 89kg with a waist of 96cm after Christmas. One month later i was able to easily achieve 83.7kg and my waist went down to 88cm. This was amazing considering i thought it would be difficult to achieve this. Not only that I haven't run for 3 months and wanted to see if i had lost any pace. My normal one mile time is around 7.40 to 8.10 minutes (i hate running). I managed to run a 7.10 minute mile and had loads left in the tank.
I have never been more fit or strong and can see a noticeable difference in my body transformation. I have lost enough fat to practically see abs emerging. Something i never thought would happen. To this end i have continued with the MD and hope that for the summer I will be leaner and fitter than ever.
In short the biggest ball ache which eventually became easy was planning what to eat the next day.

Since doing the basic Kettlebell course last year i haven't looked back. I am now using doubles and about to increase the weights. The classes provide an intense all body workout with each week being varied so no chance of getting bored.
Tom takes time to research everything he then suggests and therefore i was happy to try his diet. In fact i won't call it a diet but a lifestyle change, it took a little planning but was then easy to fit into my busy lifestyle and the food enjoyable.
After 6 weeks I have lost 5kg, 8 inches in total from hips/waist/chest with fantastic support and encouragement from both Tom and Tanya. I have inflammatory arthritis and since starting Kettlebells have noticed a massive difference in my strength/flexibility.
The weight loss & improving my strength/flexibility has definitely helped to support my joints. Joint aches and pains were a regular problem but rarely occur now.
I would highly recommend any of Tom's classes and the Momentum diet.

Well this Momentum diet & KB classes must be doing something! A month ago I couldn't run more than 5 mins on the treadmill without stopping. Today I ran for 16 mins (1.5 miles) and still did a finisher (Ab ripper) - what's that all about!

I’m 35, and have been training for a long time – so I should be pretty awesome right?
But according to BBC web site I had a higher BMI than 63% of other males my age in UK!
And for a long time now I’ve found myself telling stories of “when I used to be good, or I remember when I could …. ”
So when Tom started his kettlebell classes, and I saw in Tom, the visible difference it could make to someone my age, my height, my shape – I believed there was a great opportunity to try to be that guy again.
I started off with attending the kettlebell courses, and within a few weeks could easily see the effects this was having. This was better than weight training I’ve done before, in a fun and friendly yet professional environment.
Biggest eye opener was I’ve been injury free all this time.
(Anyone who trains weights, will know this is a constant issue)
Next up was Tom’s introduction to the Momentum Diet program.
I have tried before a handful of diets and training programs that never really worked for me.
There’s no denying that Tom is a true geek with this nutrition stuff, but that’s how we know it works. He’s tried and tested it.
Now all we have to do is reap the benefits…..along with some dedication, hard work and focus.
I can’t believe I have achieved such good results in such a short space of time, and at 35 I didn’t think I would again. I’m stronger with my Kettlebells and fitter in my running; I’ve beat my two previous “PBs” that I haven’t been anywhere near for a year.
So anyone reading this, don’t hesitate, don’t hold off any longer – jump on board this bandwagon and see some awesome results – What have you got to lose?
I am now nearly 36, and according to the same BBC website, I now have a lower BMI than 65% of other males my age in the UK!

One word says it all - fantastic! Having been a total couch potato for too long I needed to get fit again. The metafit classes are just what I needed to kick start me into action. Give it a go and you won't regret it!
I have been training with kettlebells for about 4 years now and I can't rate them any higher. I have seen impressive results personally and through training with clients.
I have known Tom for a few years now and I can say he has inspired me to train harder, he is a great teacher and a man that definitely practices what he preaches.
You don't need a gym if you own a kettlebell.

I’ve had the pleasure of training with and being taught by Tom for many years. Tom is not one of those instructors who just watches a few training videos, does a few courses or follows the latest fads. He researches and tries and tests everything before considering using the techniques. When you train with Tom, you know that it will work because it’s what he uses himself. Tom teaches in a way which will educate, inspire and push you to reach your goals.
“A course or class with Tom Mayes definitely pays”
“There may be some pain, but you’ll see the gain”

After suffering a back injury 3 years ago, I had been having lower back problems and was told by my Doctor to find something to improve my core strength to help support my back. After some research on the internet, Kettlebells seemed to be the way forward and Tom stepped in to give me some tuition. I started gently under his expert guidance, so as not to aggravate my injury but to improve it, on 16kg kettlebells and have never looked back.
2 Years on and I have progressed up to using Double 24kg’s and have no back problems what so ever and have never felt fitter and stronger.
If I was Victor Kiam I would “Buy the company!”

Great session with Tom from Momentum Kettlebells the other night, surprising how small changes in technique can make such a big difference, my abs are burning, looking forward to getting stuck into my new program and getting some serious results.
Thanks Tom.

Having just completed the Basics course I really can’t recommend this enough.
Tom has an amazingly enthusiastic way of teaching, and his knowledge on fitness and exercise is immense.
This is far better than any Gym membership and workouts can easily be done at home.
Suitable for any ages and any experience this is a type of exercise that really does work.
Daryl Brown
Just a quick email to say thanks for the course.
From Start to finish I have lost a stone and 4 pounds!
Thanks again

Tom is an excellent Instructor, who takes the time to explain the correct way to perform the exercises with the kettle bells and ensures everyone in the group is performing the exercise properly before proceeding to the next exercise. His classes are fun and over before you know it and you definitely leave knowing you have had a complete workout! I look forward to kettle bells every week and have already signed up for the next course. I highly recommend Tom as an instructor and would definitely recommend his kettlebell classes if you want to get fit and toned. Thanks Tom

I have known tom now for about 5 years on and off and he has always been dedicated to keeping himself fit and helping others. I had never heard of any sort of Kettle Bell training until I saw the classes advertised on his Face Book Page. I clicked the link for his Momentum Kettle bell training site and was instantly hooked.
I signed up to the beginners class, and even though it is for beginners Tom makes you feel instantly comfortable and instructs you well as to how to get the best out of the training session.
It is not an easy course even though it is only 45 mins long. If your looking to build core strength, loose weight and enjoy a good bit of banter then Tom's classes are a definite.
Scott Morgan
‘Tom’s Kettle Bell classes are awesome, a lot of fun and 45 mins whizzes by. I think I am also beginning to see the benefits so bring on the advanced training!’
Samantha Green
I thought I would give Kettlebells a go, so I booked myself on the 6 week course with Tom. I couldn’t believe how much of a great, full body workout it was. It’s also good fun and extremely addictive.
Tom is an excellent instructor. He explains how to do the exercises in a certain way, to get the best out of the workout, safely and efficiently.
I would highly recommend it!!!

I have been Kettlebell training with Tom for 12 weeks now. I am 45 years old and i am fitter, stronger, and i am more toned than i have ever been in my life.
I struggle to get motivated, but with Tom's Kettlebell training, it is a great hardcore workout,
good fun, addictive, and you get to meet a great bunch of people, so you just want to keep going every week.

I have known and trained with Tom for a few years now, so when I found out about kettlebells I knew he was the best person to learn from. The classes are structured in such a way that you achieve a full body workout, whilst learning the skills needed to carry on your workout at home and all at your own pace. If your looking to transform yourself or embark on a new physical challenge then this class is the one for you!
Martin Chandler
Tom is a first class instructor, he creates a friendly professional environment that ensures people at all levels understand and develop on his courses. He is a true athlete who has invested heavily in understanding all aspects of kettle-bell training; I also recommended him as an expert in marital arts and all areas of health management!
Tom Lambert
I started the basic kettlebell course a little nervous. Once I had met Tom the nerves vanished.
As a cyclist I wanted to gain upper body, core strength and have a cardio workout in one session after a number of back operations forced me off the bike.
This course certainly gave me all I required also the course teaches you great technique and you are encouraged every step of the way.
A great mobile weights session to take what you have learned and try at home to perfect, ready for next time!!
Iain Collins
I have had the pleasure of knowing Tom for around 10 years now. Initially through the world of martial arts and now his kettlebell classes.
Tom is a man who leads by example and inspires you to be your best.
The classes are light hearted yet informative and you get a good workout too! You feel safe knowing that you are under the watchful eye of Tom and he is always there to point out the finer details of the technique.
After just a few weeks I noticed a difference in strength and body composition - faster than any other method of training I had done previously. In my case it seemed to work on my weak points and bring them in line with the rest of my body.
I have been lucky enough to train with some great instructors around the world and I would class Tom as one of them!
