Calisthenics is only available through personal training at this time.

 

You may think Calisthenics is all about thousands of push ups and some boring old squats. You may think that you can’t build incredible strength and pack on some serious muscle with only your own weight as resistance. You may think that....... but you’d be WRONG!

 

Calisthenics is getting pretty big at the moment and for good reason. Its HARD.... and awesome!

 

Have you ever tried a:

  • Handstand push up?
  • A pistol squat (one leg extended out in front and then squat, ass to the grass, with the other leg)?
  • How about a muscle up?
  • Front lever?
  • Back lever?
  • Human Flag?

 

These are all extremely hard exercises to perfrom. They require huge strength and a very good ‘power to weight’ ratio.

 

The bad news is that these types of movement require a long time to master and a lot of serious strength building.

 

The good news is that at MKB we can provide you with the tools and progressions to get you to these pinnacle exercises.

 

We have all sorts of levels training at our Calisthenics/bodyweight strength class.

 

Our comprehensive syllabus means that we have regressions and progressions to suit any and every fitness and strength level going.

 

One of the cool things about Calisthenics is that you can do it anywhere with minimal to no equipment. (going on holiday? Don’t want to miss out on training? No problem!

 

Another cool thing is that it is just plain fun getting to know your body again, and figuring out how it works.

 

Calisthenics is one of the oldest and most effective ways of training known to man. So, if you want to amaze your friends with some crazy abilities whilst getting stronger, building muscle and getting more in touch with your own body. This is the class for you.

 

Classes are fully equipped with everything you need to shift your body around to get a complete workout. Including bars to hang and push from. All you need is you and your bodyweight!
